Delete your Eata data

Eata doesn't use accounts, names or email addresses. Your food diary is stored on your phone. The only data we hold on our servers is linked to an anonymous ID created when you first scan a meal photo: the photos and notes you sent for scans, scan records, and a device check result.

In the app (fastest)

  1. Open Eata and go to Settings.
  2. Tap Delete all my data and type "delete" to confirm.

This deletes everything on your phone and, as soon as the app can reach our servers, your photos, scan records and anonymous account on our side. If your phone is offline, the app tells you and deletes nothing until it can connect, so nothing is left behind by mistake.

Without the app

If you've already removed Eata, or can't open it, email support@eataai.app with the subject "Delete my data". Because we don't know who you are, include your Support ID if you have it (Settings → About & legal in Eata). If you don't have it, tell us roughly when you last scanned a meal and on what kind of phone, and we'll work with you to find your data. We'll confirm when it's done, within 30 days.

What's deleted and what's kept

  • Deleted: meal photos and notes, scan records, analysis results, your anonymous account and its device check.
  • Kept only where required: records the law requires us to keep (for example, of your request itself). Purchases are recorded by Apple or Google and our subscription provider RevenueCat; manage or cancel subscriptions in your store account (deleting data does not cancel a subscription).
  • Backups are overwritten on their normal schedule, within [30] days.
